Grimmway to Reopen Cal-Organic Produce Stand in Tehachapi-Cummings Valley

TEHACHAPI, CA, June 23, 2021—Grimmway Farms is excited to reopen its organic produce stand in Tehachapi-Cummings Valley for the summer season. Starting this Saturday, residents and visitors are welcome to purchase farm-fresh Cal-Organic vegetables directly from the stand on Bear Valley Road, housed in a large, white shed with ‘Organic Produce’ stenciled on the side.

Customers can choose from a wide variety of freshly-harvested organic options, including arugula, beets, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, chard, cilantro, collard greens, corn, daikon, dandelion, fennel, green onions, kale, leeks, lettuce—butter, leaf, iceberg and romaine—mustard greens, parsley, potatoes and radishes.

Grimmway first opened its Tehachapi produce stand in 2007 in response to requests from local residents looking to purchase fresh, Cal-Organic Farms produce. The company is pleased to open the stand for the 13th year after taking a pause to respect statewide stay-at-home orders in 2020.

“We’re happy to welcome the community to our farmland and look forward to seeing our neighbors again this summer,” said Jeff Huckaby, President and CEO of Grimmway Farms. Huckaby noted that when the stand first opened, it offered only items grown in the Tehachapi area. “Now we send an additional delivery every Saturday so that customers can have their pick of the organics we’re harvesting in Bakersfield, Lamont and Arvin as well.”

The organic produce stand is located at 23968 Bear Valley Road in Tehachapi, CA (93561) and will be open every Saturday from June 26 to September 4.
